Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the TAL3NT platform, website, and related services (collectively, the "Services"). By connecting your wallet and using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. The Services

TAL3NT is a decentralized platform that connects freelancers ("Freelancers") with employers ("Employers") for Web3-related jobs. We provide tools including a job board, user profiles, and an on-chain escrow system to facilitate these connections.

We are a non-custodial platform. We do not have custody or control over your funds or private keys. All transactions are conducted on-chain between users via smart contracts.

2. User Responsibilities

A. Your Account

To use our Services, you must connect a compatible non-custodial cryptocurrency wallet. You are solely responsible for the security of your wallet, including your private keys and seed phrase. Any activity conducted through your wallet on our platform will be deemed to be your activity.

B. User Conduct

You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities:

  • Providing any false, inaccurate, or misleading information.
  • Infringing on any third party's copyright, patent, trademark, or other intellectual property rights.
  • Engaging in any fraudulent activity, including but not limited to, posting fake jobs or submitting plagiarized work.
  • Using the Services for any illegal purpose or in violation of any local, state, national, or international law.

3. Fees and Payments

Employers agree to pay a platform fee of 5% of the total job budget. This fee is automatically deducted by the smart contract when the job's escrow is funded. This fee is non-refundable.

All payments between Employers and Freelancers are handled peer-to-peer through our on-chain escrow smart contract. By using the Services, you agree to interact with these smart contracts and assume all risks associated with them, including potential smart contract vulnerabilities.

4. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.

TAL3NT IS NOT A PARTY TO ANY AGREEMENT BETWEEN AN EMPLOYER AND A FREELANCER. We are not responsible for the performance, quality, or legality of the services provided by Freelancers or the payments made by Employers.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL TAL3NT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY.

5. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes between an Employer and a Freelancer regarding a job should first be attempted to be resolved directly between the parties. If a resolution cannot be reached, TAL3NT may, at its sole discretion, offer mediation services to help resolve the dispute concerning funds held in escrow. However, we are not obligated to do so and have no authority to reverse transactions on the blockchain.

6. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of these Terms. Your continued use of the Services after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
